Robert L. Wiseman

Robert L. Wiseman, 83, of Robinson, died at 6:35 p.m., on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Heritage Health Care (Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home). He was born October 27, 1930 in Olney, IL, the son of Herman Wiseman and Carrie (Smith) Wiseman. Robert served in the U.S. Army and worked as a caster at Briggs Pottery for 40 years. He was a member of Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549 and Robinson American Legion Post #69.Robert married Virginia Lee Parsons on September 3, 1945 and she preceded him in death on November 30, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert Wiseman, Jr.; 3 brothers and 6 sisters.He is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Douglas Wiseman of Nashville, TN and Michael and Connie Wiseman of Robinson; his granddaughter, Ginny Varner; his grandson, Steven Hoskins; and one great granddaughter, Morgan Varner.Graveside services will be held at the Palestine Cemetery on Thursday, December 12th at 10 a.m. with Lee Gurley officiating.
