Ronald “Ron” Henderson, 73, of Robinson, IL, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born October 28, 1942 in Robinson, the son of Andrew Henderson & Nadine Boyd Henderson, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Connie Richey on February 4, 1984 and she survives, as do a host of relatives and friends. Ron served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He was a longtime manager of General Tire & Rubber, having worked there for 20 years. Away from work he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was active in Bass Masters. He was a black powder enthusiast and took part in a number of reenactments, including the Vincennes Rendezvous, where they would set up a stand selling merchandise of the period. A car enthusiast, he was a member of the National Street Machine Club. Ron was also a member of the Robinson Free Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a cut-up and a tease, but was tender-hearted and lived life with a smile on his face. It was Ron's wishes to be cremated without a public service. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Cards and flowers may be sent to the funeral home, located at 303 E Main St, Robinson, IL 62454.
