Ruby Hamilton Newbold

Ruby Hamilton Newbold, 77, of Robinson, passed away at 11:30 a.m. August 6, 2014 in the comfort of her home. She was born on September 12, 1936 in Licking Township in Crawford County, the daughter of Perl Lindsey and Florence Newlin Lindsey. Ruby was a past employee of Crawford County State Bank and the RHS cafeteria and was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She married G. Ellis Hamilton and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Keith, Max and Leo Lindsey. She married Jesse L. Newbold July 7, 2007 and he survives. Also surviving is her daughter & son-in-law, Vickie & Steve Staley, Annapolis, IL; her three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick & Peggy Hamilton, Willow Hill, IL; Roger & Cheryl Hamilton, Linton, IN; and Tony and Michelle Hamilton, Oblong, IL; five step children, Vicki & Gary Bickers, Palestine, IL; Brad & Diana Newbold, Marshall, IL; Shelly Bayless, Witchita Falls, TX; Kelly & Pat Cooper, Sullivan IL and Kevin & Nichol Newbold, Howe, TX; 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two sisters & brothers-in-law Neva & Harold Otey and Blodwyn Price of Oblong; three sisters-in-law Imogene Lindsey and Mary Lou Lindsey & Reba Hamilton of Robinson, Charlotte & Jim Brewer, Springfield, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois with Pastors Billie Ray Ulrey and Jeff Monroney officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9th. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
