Ruth Ellen Dunlap

Ruth Ellen Dunlap, 74, of Palestine, IL, died at 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, IL. She was born March 6, 1941 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of George Stotler & Louise Drinnin Stotler, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a grandson. Ruth married Paul Eugene Dunlap on June 27, 1986, and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Dawn of Henry, IL; and two grandchildren. Ruth was a graduate of Bradford Township High School. She went on to work as an insurance clerk for many years. Her free time was spent crocheting, doll making, or tending to her garden. She will be remembered for her beautiful handwriting, and for her passionate love of music. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29th at the Hardinville Cemetery, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the ceremony. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
