Ruth Tuttle, 68, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:42 a.m. (EST) on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born August 24, 1948 in Salzburg, Austria, the daughter of Morris Carter & Mildred Miller Carter, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Phillip Tuttle on October 21, 1966, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Terry Carter in infancy. She is survived by her two sons, Terry Wayne Tuttle (Robinson, IL) and Timothy Scott & Connie Tuttle (Robinson, IL); by six grandchildren; by eleven great-grandchildren; by her sister, Shirley Maxwell (Palestine, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. Ruth was a 1966 graduate of Robinson High School. She was a nurses’ aide for 23 years before moving into private care. Over the years, she cared for countless elderly and terminal patients. Away from work, she dedicated herself to her church, the Robinwood Assembly of God in Robinson, and took part in many events and activities there. She will long be remembered as a caring woman of faith, and she will long be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. A time of visitation will precede the service and will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
