Ruth Weger

Ruth Weger, 89, of Robinson, died June 12, 2014 at 2:26pm at her home in Robinson. She was born February 15, 1925, in Flat Rock, the daughter of Wilbur L. and Fannie B. (Ridgway) Weger. She graduated Flat Rock High School in 1943. Ruth proudly served as an Election Judge in Porterville for 43 years. She was a member of the Try Hard Unit of the Home Extension Office. She is remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother and fantastic cook and pie maker. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She attended Porterville Congregational Christian Church. Ruth married Willard O. “Pete” Weger on July 14th, 1943 and he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Glenn Weger, son Harold Weger, brother Lewis Glenn Weger, brother and sister-in-law Henry and Betty Weger. She is survived by her children; Betty Mendenhall and husband Ronnie of Carmi, Doris Ramsey and husband Terry of Robinson, Judy Miller of Robinson, Gene Weger and wife Bonnie of Annapolis, Brenda Rush and husband Jim of Fairfield, Jackie Plew and husband Donnie of Hutsonville, Alan Weger and fiance Teresa Connour of Taylorville, she is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Inez Weger of Lakewood WA, sister-in-law Louise Wilt of Trimble, and her aunts Barbara Ridgway of Newton, Norma Weger of Flat Rock, Maureen Oebel of Roseburg OR, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service for Ruth will be held at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, Wednesday, June 18th, at 11am, with Pastor Leland Culp officiating. Burial will follow at the Good Hope Cemetery in Flat Rock. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17th, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Lincolnland Hospice or CMH Home Healthcare.
