Sally Ellen (Brannon) Gunn

Sally Ellen (Brannon) Gunn, 74, of Palestine, IL, passed away on Friday 13, 2017 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born on March 22, 1942 in Palestine to Glen Brannon & Velma (Shidler) Brannon. On May 28, 1964, she married Air Force Sgt. Harold Robert Gunn Jr., in Hamilton, Bermuda. She then resided in several locations in the United States, including Texas, Colorado, Alaska, Michigan and Illinois before settling in Bloomfield, IN from 1982 until 2007. After 2007 she finally returned home to Palestine, IL. Sally is survived by her three children, Jeffrey Allen Gunn, of Monticello, IN, Gerri Rene Jackson, of Linton, IN, and Stacy Marie Quesada, of San Diego, CA; by 5 grandchildren, Kaci Fulk, Keith Fulk, Corrine Quesada, Ben Quesada, and Logan Gunn; one step-granddaughter, Aracely Gunn; by her brothers, John Brannon of Hutsonville, IL, and Randy Brannon of Palestine, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen & Velma; by her husband Harold; and by two brothers, Jim Brannon and Jerry Brannon. Sally was beloved by all who knew her and she loved nothing more than family and participating in family gatherings. She was a very loving, sentimental and creative person, who enjoyed in her free time writing and painting. In her younger days, she even wrote a novel manuscript, and in her later years, she painted prolifically. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery.
