Samuel Lee Cornwell

Samuel Lee “Sam” Cornwell, 73, of Casey, IL, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Heartland Nursing Center in Casey, IL. He was born October 11, 1942 in Robinson, IL, the son of Samuel Wesley Cornwell & Emma Ida (Dunlap) Cornwell, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Cornwell; and by his sisters, Ellen Matheny, Irene Cornwell, and Melva Cornwell. He is survived by his son, Paul Cornwell; by his sister, Barb Cornwell (Robinson, IL); by his friend, Julie Wilson; and by his special friend, Gail Graham. Sam lived a full life, and enjoyed years of fishing and camping. He will be sorely missed. It was Sam’s wish to be cremated, with no public services to be held. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
