Sandra Pearl Certain

Sandra Pearl Certain, 69, died at 3:15 p.m. (EST) on Friday, June 17, 2016 in Otterbein, IN. She was born January 20, 1947 in York Township, the daughter of Frederick Daugherty & June Murphy Daugherty, both of whom preceded her in death. Pearl married Robert M. Certain on January 22, 1964, and he preceded her in death on February 4, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Joye Certain-Goodwin; by her grandson, Gary Wayne Adams; and by her sister, Ernestine 'Skeet' Ramsey. She is survived by her sons, Robert Milton Certain, Jr. (Palestine, IL) and Kenneth Eugene & Becky Certain (West Union, IL); by her daughter, Bonnie Kaye & Jeff Adams (Otterbein, IN); by her grandchildren, Jeffery Embrey, Bobby Rollins, Heather Rollins, Joshua Nipple, James Nipple, Shyenne Adams, and Waylon Adams; nine great-grandchildren; by her sister, Vicky & Leo Tedford (Palestine, IL); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pearl dedicated her life to be a homemaker for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting and also loved to sit on her porch and just watch people. In her later years, she took on the role of caretaker for her beloved husband, Robert, with whom she has finally been reunited. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. Funeral services will follow the visitation and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow in the York Cemetery.
