Scott A. Montgomery

In loving memory of Scott A. Montgomery, who passed away on March 27, 2014. He was born January 25, 1954 in Whittier, CA, the son of Iris (Matthews) Montgomery & Randall Montgomery, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim & Anna Matthews and by his paternal grandparents, Willard & Grace Montgomery. Scott is survived by his wife, Barbara; his step-mother, Jane Montgomery; his brother & sister-in-law, Matt & Sally Montgomery; his nephew, Jim Montgomery; his two step-daughters, Angie six grandchildren; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He will be remembered for his love of the ocean, for the joy he found in coming to Illinois to visit his family, and for the love he gave to his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A dual graveside service will be held for both Scott and Jack Montgomery at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Jones Cemetery in rural Flat Rock. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, with envelopes available at the cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
