Sharon R. Miller

Sharon R. Miller, 76, of Robinson, IL, died at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL. She was born April 7, 1940 in Bridgeport, IL, the daughter of Herschel & Nadeane (Willis) Murray, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Murray and Jim Murray. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Carol Murray (rural Robinson, IL) and Brenda Murray (Kokomo, IN); and by her nieces and nephews, Michelle & Tony Hamilton (Robinson, IL), Niki & Travis Huntsmen (Indianapolis, IN), Aprille & Cory Musgrave (Palestine, IL), James & Kim Murdock (Galveston, IN), Mike & Melissa Murray (Kokomo, IN), and Pat & Skye Murray (Kokomo, IN). Sharon was a 1958 graduate of Oblong High School. She furthered her education with an Associate’s Degree from Vincennes University. She went on to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL for 35 years, and touched countless lives in the process. Away from work, if she wasn’t watching soap operas, Sharon enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Prior Grove Baptist Church and was formerly a member of the Hardinville United Church. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow and will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Hardinville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Prior Grove Baptist Church or to the Oblong Children’s Home, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
