Shawn Lynn Lankston

Shawn Lynn Lankston, 32 of Palestine, IL, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at his home. He was born July 3, 1975 in Robinson, IL, the son of Harold 'Gene' Lankston and Debra Hodge Lankston. He was a laborer, served in the U. S. Navy for 2 years, and was a member of the Palestine First Christian Church.He is survived by his parents; 7 children, Greg, Kirsten, and Nikki Lankston all of California, Mary Powell, Terre Haute, IN, Tristin, Alex, and Allie Lankston all of Trimble; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Pastor Jack Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Sunday until service time. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
