Steven Earl Rice

Steven Earl Rice, 54, of rural Robinson, IL, died at 12:14 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his friends, family and dog, Shilo. He was born October 25, 1961 in Robinson, IL, the son of Jackie Earl Rice & Vivian Mae (Turnipseed) Rice, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Nancy Fern Rice; by his brother, Jimmy Lee Rice; his sister, Patricia Ann Rennier; his nephews, Kenneth Daniel Rennier and great-nephew, Kaydin Daniel Rennier. Steve is survived by his brothers & sisters-in-law, Darrel Rice (Palestine, IL), Robert Rice (Robinson, IL), Roy & Lisa Rice (Robinson, IL), and Jerry Rice (Robinson, IL); his sisters & brothers-in-law, Beverly & Brian Luzadder (Robinson, IL), Sue Ikemire (Robinson, IL); his step-brother, Hank Evelin (Olney, IL); his step-sisters, Deana Tracy and Connie Hunsaker; as well as several nieces and nephews. Steve spent his time enjoying music and spending time with his dogs. He will long be remembered for his sense of humor and for his wstorytelling. According to the wishes of his family, Steve will be cremated. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorial services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Steven Rice Memorial Fund, with checks made payable to Goodwine Funeral Homes.
