Susan Marie Rich

Susan Marie Rich, 56, of rural Palestine, IL, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, Robinson, IL. She was born March 10, 1955 in Wooster, OH the daughter of Robert Smith and Nancy Moore Smith (formerly of Lawrenceville, IL). Susan graduated from Lawrenceville High School in 1973 and Wabash Valley College in 1975. She was a medical transcriptionist at Crawford Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She attended the Outer West Market Church of Christ, Palestine, and was active in €œMeals on Wheels€. She lived for helping others and enjoyed family, traveling, and crafts.Susan married Gary Rich on May 15, 1976 and he survives. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marcia Smith, Cedarburg, WI; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Linda Rich, Savannah, GA; her niece, Chelsea Smith, Portland, OR; her nephew, Benjamin Smith, Los Angeles, CA; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents.There will be private family services held at a later date.
