Susan Ochs Condrey

Susan Ochs Condrey, 77, of Robinson died at 7:40 p.m. (EST) on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born May 5, 1938 in Ste. Marie, IL, the daughter of Sylvester “Pat” Ochs & Lois Miller. Susan married Ralph “Smitty” Condrey on March 7, 1959 and he survives. She is also survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Donald Jay & Trudy Condrey (Robinson, IL) and Jon Allen & Joanna Condrey (Olney, IL); her daughter & son-in-law, Jill & Randy Nidey (Oblong, IL); daughter-in-law Amy Condrey (Robinson, IL) her grandchildren, Tyler Condrey (St. Louis, MO), Deena Condrey (Evansville, IN), Andrew Hargrave (Oblong, IL), Zach Condrey (Robinson, IL), Brianna Garner (Olney, IL), Kirsten Garner (Olney, IL) Megan Garner (Olney, IL), Jessie Ault (Flat Rock, IL), and Stephanie Tucker (Bridgeport, IL); four great-grandchildren; siblings Chlorine, Lou, Mike, David, Gene, Linda & their families. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her son, Ron Condrey; by her grandson, Josh Rodgers; by her siblings Walter, Earl, and Pat Ochs. Susan loved to work in her flower bed and in her garden, where she grew everything from sweet potatoes to strawberries. She will be remembered for the care she gave to others and as a fantastic cook. It was her wish to be cremated, and the family will have a private service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Forest Preserve.
