Timothy Wayne Keesling

Timothy Wayne Keesling, 57 of Palestine, IL, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his home. He was born July 24, 1954 in Anderson, IN, the son of Willard (Bill) & Carolyn Sue Keesling and Mary & Jack Hoffman. Tim was a veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army. While he has been disabled for the last few years, he has been able to enjoy the outdoors. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his wife and son.Tim married JoLinda Pethtel on November 17, 1990 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Bradley Keesling (Palestine); two daughters, Mandy Jo Hulen (TN), and Leslie Duncan (Palestine); his granddaughter, Kelsey Kay Drury; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Carper (Indianapolis, IN), Debbie & Don Shelton (Middletown, IN); two brothers and a sister-in-law, Randy & Ella Keesling (Palestine) and Brian Kim Keesling (Anderson, IN); his half-brothers, Mike Hoffman (Robinson) and Doug Hoffman (Robinson); his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rick & Linda Pethtel (Palestine); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dustin & Kaycee Pethtel (West York), and Willie & Canda Pethtel (Palestine); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his half-brother, David Hoffman; and several aunts and uncles. Tim was proud of his son for starting Butler University next week and will be missed so much by his loving wife.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with Pastor David Hyde officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Memorials may be made to The Bradley Keesling College Education Fund, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
