Toni Tanneur

Toni Tanneur, 73, of Robinson, IL passed away at 8:12 p.m. on May 17, 2014 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson with her family by her side. She was born June 21, 1940 in Tampa, FL, the daughter of Joseph & Lola Hernandez. She attended Findlay College in Ohio and graduated from EIU as a mother of two. She was a teacher, and taught pre-school and substitute taught in the Hutsonville School District. She was also a teacher for Head Start. Toni was a lover of music and movies. She enjoyed playing bridge and reading books from the library. She also enjoyed sports and was a member of the Oak Glen Golf Course and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and loving mother. She married Noel C. Tanneur on December 9, 1960, and he survives. She is also survived by her two sons, Jeff Tanneur and Jon Tanneur; her granddaughter, Jonna; as well as several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Toni’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23rd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine to officiate the service. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), with envelopes available at the funeral home.
