Vera Gale Sweitzer

Vera Gale Sweitzer, 77, of Marshall, died on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 at her home in Marshall. She was born in Melrose Township on August 11, 1935, the daughter of James W. Graham and Nellie Thompson Graham. She worked at TRW in Marshall. She married William Sweitzer on May 10, 1984 and he survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Terri Peel of West Union; grandaughter Shannon (Keith) Baistian; and grandsons Shaun (Layne) Woolard and Jared Peel; great grandchildren Jarrett and Reid Baistian; step children, Tammy McCammon, Valerie Blankenbacker, Angie Robinson, David Sweitzer; step grandchildren, David Martin, Jason McCammon, Phillip McCammon, Nathan Simpson, Curtis Mason, Robyn Oakly, Jeffrey Kyle, Ashley Edmonds, Chris Edmonds, Aaron Edmonds, Samuel Sweitzer, Brittany Sweitzer; nieces and nephews, Jim Monk, Beverly Correll, Cindy Collier, Terry Monk, Mary Kay Jurson and Chris Jurson-Hollowell. Also surviving is her sister, Flower Monk of West Union and step sister Jean Albers of Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews, Ira Dean Jr. and Robert Monk.Funeral services will be held at 3:00p.m. on Sunday, March 10th 2013 at Prust Hosch Funeral Home in West Union IL with Pastor Rich Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Harrison Cemetery in West Union. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. preceding the services at the funeral home.
