W. Louise Hand, 77 of rural Palestine, IL, died at 10:20 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2007 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, IL. She was born August 28, 1930 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Robert Batman and Flossie Rich Batman.She drove a school bus for Robinson Unit 2 and was Transportation Director for 28 years, retiring in 1995. She was also a member of the Robinson Moose Auxiliary and the Palestine Eagles Auxiliary.She is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca and Bill O’Dell, Flat Rock, Brenda Weaver, rural Palestine; 5 grandchildren, Ryan O’Dell, Robinson, Brandon O’Dell, Flat Rock, Chad and his wife, Jennifer, O’Dell, Robinson, Eric Weaver, Hutsonville, and Alisha Weaver, Palestine; 2 great grandchildren, Dawn O’Dell, and A. J. Stone, both of Robinson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Lowell 'Sam' Batman, Raliegh Batman; and her son-in-law, Rick G. Weaver.Funeral services will be Thursday, December 13th at 10:30 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Jack Cunningham is in charge of services. Burial is in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12th. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Village Auxiliary.
