Warren "Pat" Mehler

Warren N. €œPat€ Mehler, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born on March 17, 1921 in West York, IL, the son of Edward J. Mehler and Edna Evans Mehler. Pat owned and operated a stockyard and was a farmer until 1987. After he retired from farming, he and his wife managed Motel 6€™s until they retired in 1995. He was a Past President of the Illinois Farm Bureau. He was a Christian, and attended several area churches over his life.He married Margaret Lawhead on October 23, 1943, who preceded him in death on April 19, 1996. Also preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Ted Mehler and Evans Mehler; his sister, Martha Glazebrook; his son, Warren Patrick Mehler; his daughter, Sharon €œSherry€ Halterman.He is survived by three grandchildren, David Halterman (Yale, IL), Michael Halterman (Robinson), and Patricia Napier (Annapolis); seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; his son-in-law, John Halterman (Palestine); as well as several nieces & nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3rd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating the service. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Riley Children€™s Hospital, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
