William Berthold

William Berthold, 76, of Robinson, IL, died at 10:15 p.m. (EST) on October 31, 2014 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born January 24, 1938 in Elkhart, IN, the son of Joseph & Mildred Berthold. He worked on the assembly line for the Ford Motor Company for some time, as well as United Technologies in Newton, and after retiring, worked in the electronics department of the Vincennes Wal-Mart. He was an avid remote-controlled airplane enthusiast, and was a member of many associated clubs. He is survived by his wife, Oma (Salee) Berthold; his niece, Linda Carper (Pendleton, IN); and his nephews, Mike Carper, Matt Carper, and Phil Carper. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
