William 'Bill' Randall Jackson, 76, of Old York, IL, passed away Friday morning, August 1, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 3, 1938 in West Union, IL, the son of Elisha Allen Jackson & Doris Rush. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1962. He was a lifetime member of Ironworkers Local #439 in Terre Haute, IN. There, he served as Vice President, Treasurer, Apprenticeship Instructor, and as a member of the Executive Committee. He was also a member of the York Masonic Lodge. Bill married Donna Jo 'Jody' Adams on November 11, 1961, and she survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Randall Brett Jackson (Marco Island, FL) and Matthew Blake Jackson (West York, IL); his daughter, Elaina Jo Monk (Clarksville, IL); two grandsons, Jared Jackson and Elias Jackson; five granddaughters, Bonnie Monk, Betsey Monk, Shelby Jackson, Hannah Jackson, and Jade Jackson; one great grandson, Jonah Terry Melcho; two sisters, Phyllis Haddix (West Union, IL) and Sandy Pursifull (Nashville, TN); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Howard Jackson; as well as two brothers, Norman Keith Jackson and Charles Allen Jackson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. (CST) August 5, 2014 at the York Cemetery in Old York, IL, with Bro. Randy Nave officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the cemetery. The Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union is in charge of arrangements.
