Wilma Dell Xanders

Wilma Dell Xanders, 78, of Robinson, IL, died Thursday, November 15th, at 10:17 p.m. EST at her daughter€™s residence in Martinsville, IN. She was born July 28, 1934 in Sims, IL, the daughter of Earl F. Thomason and Lula Marshel Thomason. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and attended the Robinson First Christian Church.Wilma married Arthur Xanders and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandchildren, Nick Wampler and Christina Xanders; and 3 sisters, Kay Pennington, Eva Downing, and an infant sister.She is survived by 2 sons and her daughter-in-law, Trennis Lloyd and Melinda (Cafin) Xanders, (St. Meinrad, IN), Stephen Wayne €œSteve€ Xanders, (Robinson); 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn Kay and Jay Weddle, (Martinsville, IN), Kathy Jo and Carl Wampler (Robinson); 13 grandchildren, T. J., Nathaniel, and Caleb Xanders, (St. Meinrad, IN), Jason Weddle, Amy (Stephens) Davidson (Indianapolis), Danielle (Stephens) Oakley (New Bern, NC), Chris Wampler, Ben Xanders, Megan Xanders, and Brady Walls, (all of Robinson), Elizabeth (Lawhead) Yoder (Knoxville, TN), and Stephanie Juelfs, (Martinsville, IN); 25 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Peggy Cook (Johnsonville); 1 brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Sandra Thomason (Peoria); 1 brother-in-law, Richard Pennington (Lamar, IN); and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 19th at the Palestine Cemetery, Palestine with Pastor Mike Irvin officiating. There will be a private family visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer€™s Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home and cemetery.
