Wyman "Butch" Hall

Wyman “Butch” Clay Hall, 70, of Robinson, IL, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the comfort of his home. He was born January 19, 1945 in Carlinville, IL, the son of Wilson Hall & Maxine Conroy Hall. Butch is survived by his daughter, Tammy Hays Spour & her husband, David Spour (Robinson, IL); his son, Wyman Cory Hall & his wife, Michaele (Troy, IL); his grandchildren, George H. Hays, Benjamin Hays, Andrew Hays, Zachary Hays, Chase Hall, and Rhiannon Hall; his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Nolan, McKenzie Hays, and Izabella Hays; his brother, Eugene “Gene” Hall & his wife, Janet (Orange Park, FL); his sister, Wilma Johnson & her husband, Jacob (Pittsfield, IL); as well as several nieces & nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Butch served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and continued to serve after active duty as a benefits counselor for veterans, as a Vietnam veteran counselor, at the Vet Center in Fort Wayne, IN, and as an assistant at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. He retired as an auditor for the State of Illinois after 11 years of work. He was a member of the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549, the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250 A.F. & A.M., the Ansar Shrine Temple, and was a former member of the Edwardsville Moose Lodge. He will be remembered for his love of plants and flowers, NASCAR, football, and his love of his family. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1st at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Military rites will follow the visitation, and will be performed at 6:00 p.m. by the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549. Masonic rites will follow the military rites, and will be performed by the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250 A.F. & A.M. Funeral services will follow, and will be officiated by Jay Regennitter. A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2nd. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
